Green Street started this petition to City of Claremont

The City of Claremont is working to turn Green Street into a vehicular thoroughfare with the proposed installation of a signal at College Avenue and Green Street.

April 2021: Claremont Traffic and Transportation Commission (TTC) reviewed the College Avenue at Green Street Bike and Pedestrian improvements project that includes the installation of a signal at College Avenue and Green Street.

June 2021: City Council voted to move forward with designs for bike and pedestrian improvements at College Avenue and Green Street that includes a signal - no other options considered.

Claremont Courier credited the City with stating, “the intersection of College and Green will serve as a nexus to the existing Metrolink Station, the proposed Gold Line light rail station and the future Village South Specific Plan area.”

July 2021: City Council voted to move forward with the Village South Specific Plan, which calls for the extension of Green Street and the addition of a signal at Indian Hill and Green Street.

November/December 2021: Claremont TTC will review and vote to approve designs that add a signal to the intersection of College and Green, opening up Green Street as a vehicular thoroughfare.

Sign this petition to voice your opposition to the installation of a signal at College Avenue and Green Street. Request the TTC consider a 4-way stop to increase bike and pedestrian safety.
