Along with my fellow neighbors, we have orchestrated an offensive against an industrial business operating out of a residential lot without permits in the Sunset Cove area of Laveen, Arizona (at the SW corner of 40th Ave and Carver Road, parcel # 300-81-002D). Most neighbors have wells as our water source. There are many concerns about waste and chemicals potentially bleeding into groundwater and contaminating this precious resource. This business, RC6 LLC, is operating outside of the law in a rural residential zoning district and has already infringed on the rights of our community. Neighbors have sent numerous noise, environmental, safety, and traffic complaints to Maricopa County and other authorities. After two years of operating illegally, the business owner has applied for a special use permit (case # Z2021071) even as his operation continues to spew noise and pollution into our neighborhood. If the permit is approved, any business could buy an acre and put you or other neighbors into the same situation. This illegal commercial business affects each and every homeowner directly – putting our homes, health, and land values at risk.

Please add your voice to stop this dangerous operation that affects our whole community. Tell Maricopa County’s decision makers to DENY the permit application.
