Stop Homelessness in Las Vegas

My name is Amber Coffman and I am not from Las Vegas, but one issue I notice almost every day once I moved to Las Vegas is the overabundance of homeless people on the streets. Just walking down the street I see at least 3-5 homeless people on average. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, more than 4,000 people are without homes and sleeping either on the streets, in an abandoned building or in parks. One of the main reasons this is a problem is that the demand for shelters is greatly higher than the supply and that many of the residents and people of the community do not want to help or do not find it an issue. My goal is to raise awareness about the lack of shelter in the community and try to convince people that there is a need for more shelters and help for the homeless and that they should do whatever they can to help others in need.

Many are without homes and support and are barely getting by on their own, they need help from the community and others to get the shelter and encouragement to get back on their feet. By signing this petition, you are bringing awareness to this unfortunate issue in Las Vegas, hopefully, with your help, we can make a difference in at least one person's life.
