Stop HMRC banking tax and National Insurance  Contributions with Barclays Bank!

Barclays has invested £4.1 billion pounds in fossil fuels since January 2021 and £110 billion since 2015-and they want to invest LOTS MORE!

Barclays also  supported the horrendous crude oil Dakota pipeline to the tune of £146 million, which is expected to 'carry enough crude oil to produce the emissions of 30 coal plants every year.'

Barclays invests in 'the extraction of Canadian tar sands oil, -one of the most polluting fuels on the planet'.

Barclays, HSBC and Standard Chartered have invested  between them over £194 billion pounds in coal, gas and oil since the Paris agreement in December 2015

Taxes and National Insurance Contributions are intended for the security of the people. In the UK this is undermined by the government depositing these funds with one of the world's most toxic bank-Barclays.

Barclays massive investment in fossil fuels is destroying this planet and the lives it contains.

The Government has a duty of care for its people. Banking our money with Barclays Bank is not congruent with the Paris Agreement or U.K emission targets. Last year COP26 was hosted in Glasgow. This offered the government a chance to bank our money in line with its declared aims of tackling emissions and take clear action on climate change by stopping public money being banked with Barclays. BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

The Government  should invest  our money with banks that invest  in green technologies and projects that combat climate change and social injustice instead of  with banks which are responsible for funding the Climate Crisis world-wide and the destruction of life on earth.

Please SIGN NOW to tell HMRC and UK GOV Financial Secretary to the Treasury to STOP  BANKING OUR MONEY WITH BARCLAYS!
