For years the pictures of each mayor have been added to a wall dedicated to the mayors of the Town of Troy for the public to see located inside the Town Hall.

Recently those pictures have been removed. The Town clerk stated the reason the pictures had been removed was for the purpose of placing a television on the wall. However, the television was placed in the corner which left the wall blank. She also stated they had relocated the pictures into the mayor's office, an office that is isolated from the public and has to be accessed with a code. The current mayor works at a car lot 30 minutes from the Town which means there is a chance the office is not being utilized at all. The Town has chosen to hide over 150 years of history from public view.

This petition is to request the Town of Troy to put the pictures of the mayors back on display for the public. Our history is important, and hiding the pictures away does a disservice to our community.
