I just found out there is no state law for amount a landlord can increase rent on a yearly basis. The fair rental increases nationwide are 3 to 10 percent.  Someone close to me with 3 children just got notice there rent would increase over 300. 00 of renewed  lease and over 600 if month to month. This is robbery they can not afford thisbhuge increase. .  I understand making a profit however this is a big apt building that already have steady increases every year. Stop the madness. People are struggling out there. With the economy the way it is people already paying more for everything.
