Stop grabbing of Tanzania ports. Tuachie Bandari zetu sisi Watanzania

The issue

We, Tanzanians, the whole-population of over 60 million will be affected. On 3//10/2022 an international partners agreement was  signed, aiming  to place our seaports, lake ports with surrounding land, in the hands of a management entity under the Emirates of Dubai for undetermined duration. (Dar es salaam port alone is the 4th largest port on Indian Ocean). This was done without consulting us, people of Tanzania.
This is about to be ratified by parliamentarians, again without consulting us, the people of Tanzania.

If this goes through, It will rob Tanzanians ownership and ability to control our ports and income resources from these ports; significantly impacting on economic growth of the country and household’s incomes. Also, it will and definately  impact negatively on security of Tanzania.

Considering the geopolitical situation of government of Emirati and ongoing changing dynamics of global economy, we (Tanzanians) need time to consider, discuss and decide, for ourselves what is best for us and our children.

Time to act is now. We need to let president Samia Suluhu Hassan that this is is grossly undemocratic. She should  Stop giving away our rights to our ports and our land.
We need your signature to amplify our voices before the parliament takes this grossly wrong decision. Thank you for taking time to support us.
