Gavin Williamson was TWICE sacked from the cabinet for being useless. 
He was Education Secretary throughout much of the covid restrictions in 2020-2021, he has damaged the education (and mental health) of the children and young people in the UK. He did so many  U-turns everyone got dizzy. Exams are on, off, on, off… now the current year 11’s who have missed more school than any of the previous 2 years young people have to be almost ‘back to normal’ exams. 
in 2020 the young people who had only missed about 3-4 weeks of school were ALL teacher assessment graded and didn’t sit any exams at all. (After about 5 U-turns and faffing from mr Williamson causing a huge amount of stress and heartache to the young people). 
the current cohort have all missed at least 9 months of their GCSE education. They have done their whole course of science without stepping foot in a science lab.  Design and realisation without a workshop. Art without an art room. Cooking without a kitchen…… I

No geography field trips, in fact no trips at all. 

how has that been so close to ‘normal’ that they can now be fairly assessed with near normal exams??

 A knighthood for Williamson is a reward for massive failure of a whole generation of children and young people.  Totally unacceptable.
