It's ridiculous to be asking a charity working for kids to pay business rates. Flintshire County Council
- are you feeling the squeeze? Then go back to central government and lobby for them to change the funding for councils - this is an austerity decision and should not be negatively impacting young people - the future of our country.

Clubs like this not only keep kids off the street but also install great values which will lead them through life

I think charging the Scouts as a business is unfair and absurd.

This is an appalling decision by Flintshire Council. Scouting supports children and young people in so many ways. It helps them to build confidence and self-esteem, supports their wellbeing, helps them learn a range of transferable skills and creates good citizens. All of which are key government initiatives. Flintshire Council should be ashamed of themselves.

This is just council opportunistic money grabbing. Whoever floated this idea needs a clip around the ear.

The people who run scout groups give their time freely and it is enjoyable and helpful for many young people.
