Hope Christian School discriminates against students with LGBT parents, and then hides behind their religious freedom to do so. While this does not question the religious freedom (and un-Christian like ways of the school by not loving and accepting everyone), it does question the federal money that they receive along with the 501(c)(3) tax exemption which should be revoked based on Bob Jones University v United States (1983).

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Hope Christian School & Hope Foundation of New Mexico, INC, United States IRS 501(c)(3) Complaint Department, Governor Susana Martinez and the United States Congress.

----------------
Stop discriminating when you receive federal money and have a tax exemption - 501(c)(3). IRS tax exemption should be revoked based on Bob Jones University v. United States (1983).

Hope Christian School discriminates against students with LGBT parents (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/26/hope-christian-school-rejects-3-year-old-because-parents-are-gay_n_1706283.html?utm_hp_ref=tw), and then hides behind their religious freedom to do so. In question are the federal money that they receive (slated at $60,000 this year) and the 501(c)(3) tax exemption which should be revoked based on Bob Jones University v United States (1983).

I respectfully ask the IRS, the US Congress and the Governor of New Mexico to investigate this issue, along with ask the Hope Christian School and Hope Foundation of New Mexico Board of Directors to review their discriminatory policy when they receive federal money and tax exemption.

Sincerely,
