Halloween Ends was a complete disaster, betraying the fans and the legacy of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. Critics and audiences panned the film generally, and the box office results back this up, showing a massive drop from Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills. Ends should have been the 2nd film of the trilogy if they were going to use that story. I'm guessing some of the producers in charge of the money had doubts about using this story and for once, I wish the "suits" would have followed their gut. David Gordon Green has lost his way and perspective, and now he's going to destroy The Exorcist with another unnecessary trilogy. PLEASE, whoever is in charge of producing the new Exorcist trilogy, take David Gordon Green off the project or at least stop him from making another disjointed and incoherent "trilogy" that has no reason to exist other than to make money. It's clear he has no desire to please fans and only is making films to please himself and his collaborators and make large paydays in the process, despite the diminishing returns.
