I'm merely concerned about our Town and Navotas City government officials' actions since I've seen that they've already chopped down several trees on the baywalk, and now they want to take down trees in the backyards of Pabahay residents. Although they are doing this for extra road development in that area, I believe it will having a negative impact on the residents who live there, because these trees provide people with food, shade from the sun, help to clean the air so that they can breathe pure air, and so on. And if the Navotas city officials finally cut down the trees there, I think they should replace them in other places like the mini garden in Pabahay so that the effort of the residents who planted them won't be wasted. Because trees create oxygen while absorbing carbon dioxide, they are necessary for life. Their reduction has an impact on the greenhouse effect, temperature rises, and so climatic imbalances. Finally, pollution pollutes aquatic environments and depletes local natural resources.
