I am a single father of 3 (2 of which I don’t see due to their mother), the child maintenance service know this but are still adamant that they are going to take 19% of my wages to pay for said children! If I was seeing the 2 that my ex refuses to let me see that % would come down massively!  My 2 girls I don't see are 8 and 9 and my ex stopped me seeing them 6 years ago. This has caused me great heartache, as the only way I can fight this situation is through the courts at my expense, I am working yes, but in todays situation it's almost impossible to afford this kind of money. Its not right my ex is using these 2 little girls as a weapon to hurt myself and in the process hurting my girls by keeping their father out of their lives.

It’s not fair how parents not being allowed the right to see their children, not through their choice, but the choice of the other parent, should be paying through the nose for their children! The child maintenance service should look at each individual case and if it is found that one parent is withholding the children from the other parent then they should not get a penny or at the most, the payment the parent who is caring for the children receives should be very minimal as punishment for withholding the children from the alienated parent!

if this gets to parliament and gets voted in favour of the alienated parent, it would hopefully stop this nastiness of parent alienation as the parent currently receiving payments for the children would either receive nothing, which would hopefully force their hand into allowing the alienated parent to see their children and in return the nasty parent would receive child maintenance.

if this doesn’t go anywhere then sadly, people like myself will keep on being forced to pay an extortionate amount of money to the nasty parent and to the courts to be able to fight to see their children! In some cases costing so much (due to having to go back numerous times) that they actually can’t afford to eat as they are paying the court fees!
