Kim florey started this petition to Chancellor of the Exchequer

£10k grants. The British Chamber of Commerce calls for more SIGNIFICANT interventions to protect businesses and jobs. 50% of firms have decrease in casflow and 38% decrease in revenue. Adam Marshall, the director, says ministers MUST act before economic storm is at fever pitch. Hundreds of thousands of small businesses like mine are in serious financial trouble. I am a drycleaner and my turnover is down by over 75%. Because of 2nd work from home rule. My business depends on people going to work. I need help to survive this crisis and the government's 22% towards wages is killing us. My business has been viable for 12 YEARS. OVER 150000 drycleaners ALONE are in the same boat. Thats without all the other sectors that are the backbone of our economy. Without further support to see us through Hundreds of thousands of businesses WILL close, forcing 5+ MILLION onto benefits sending the  benefits system skyrocketing and into meltdown for years to come. We cant afford to let this happen. There are not enough jobs being created to employ this many. Supporting established and viable businesses with £10k grants stops this from happening.  We MUST not let the Chancellor ruin the economy or peoples lives and livelihoods because he is REFUSING to listen. The mental health TIMEBOMB has already started and will continue until something is done. People are in debt, desperate, under immense strain, many have given up. Though NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. Without the local shops and businesses we depend on communities will fall apart, whilst corporations ARE BEING FUNDED BY GOVERNMENT. WRONG! Stop this unjustified madness from happening. Please sign and share. Thank you!
