CCSD is implementing signal blocking pouches that students will be required to put their mobile devices in. In a world where schools are no longer a safe place in America, we need mobile devices in the case of emergencies.

 Phones are not the property of CCSD and signal blockers are a waste of school resources that can be better spent on a variety of other educational improvements.

For those who believe phones are a distraction- students who don’t want to learn, still don’t learn. Phones are not the problem to focus on when rampant drug use, insufficient meals, and school violence still occur. Phone are not the problem when we have bad wifi preventing students from completing work on chromebooks insisted by the SCHOOL!

Phones are for communication, connection, and safety!
