Cambridge city has already a good network of public transports eg , Electric bikes every corner ,Guided buses line  and plenty of park & Ride buses . It's working well now. No one is travelling to city because of higher parking charges.  

Cambridge £5 congestion charge Driving in the city could get more expensive. It will affect Cambridge shoppers,small business ,visiting  opticians, low paid workers, dentists, childcare, Addenbrookes hospital appointments, school dropping moms, and city residents are already using A14 to get their workplaces.

The GCP is an unelected organisation that has no mandate, remit or power to inflict this tax on the rest of Cambridgeshire.

Last weekend the Partnership announced plans for a ‘Sustainable Travel Zone’ in Cambridge where a £5 weekday charge for drivers could apply.

The ‘Sustainable Travel Zone’ road user charge is proposed by the Greater Cambridge Partnership for private vehicles between 7am and 7pm on weekdays.
