Before we dive in, there is no shame in enjoying “almond milk” and our cause is not for abolishing the practice of making this product, our only grievance is almond milk is not, by definition, a milk. It does not come from a female mammal and lacks cholesterol and lactose which are defining components of milk. Having this fluid under the definition of milk dilutes the true meaning of the white, creamy, fatty fluid we know as milk. Almond milk should be titled with something more similar to what it actually is, such as “almond water” or “almond based milk substitute” Almond milk is not a milk, and should not be defined as such, let’s help clear the name of what milk is and bring about meaningful change to stop this fake milk abomination from changing what milk is, forever.
