Bullfighting is a form of entertainment that has been around for a very long time. It’s often thought of as a staple of Hispanic culture and life, but many people don’t know that truth about it. The bulls don’t get a chance to defend themselves, they just stand there, helpless. Before bulls are brought into the arena, they are drugged with laxatives, petroleum jelly is rubbed in their eyes to blur vision, their horns are shaved down, and they often have had weights hung on their necks for weeks before the fight. When the bull enters the arena, the bull-fighter and several helpers stab the bull repeatedly to tire it out, and during the “fight”, the matador attempts to stab the bull right in the heart in one attempt, but rarely hits the heart right away, resulting in stabbing the lungs and having to penetrate the bull several more times, the bull is often still conscious when the matador cuts of the bull’s tail and ears as a symbol of victory. Along with this, there is also another form of bull fighting, except it involves baby bulls. The calves are usually no more than a few weeks old, and the spectators (usually involving mostly children) simply stab the calf to death as it lays there defenseless. These animals are specifically bred for this, and it is just cruel and evil that humans are capable of letting these animals just stand there as they stab them over and over until they die, as a way to entertain themselves and say that they won.
