Stop Assigned Seating in the Cafeteria at FDR Middle School in Bristol, PA

Assigned seating in the Cafeteria is not cool and is a violation of students' freedom.  Assigned seating goes against the individual freedom of all students. Lunchtime is the time students get to socialize with their friends and express themselves. It is an overreaching act of the school to mandate and oblige students to have assigned seats. Lunch is the only time when students should be allowed to express themselves without a teacher being present.
Having teachers in the cafeteria enforcing assigned seating rules is a poor use of the teachers' expertise. Don't teachers have enough to do in the classroom that they have to supervise students even in the Cafeteria? Don't teachers have enough papers to grade and lessons to plan? Why are we adding more burden to them with Cafeteria duties? Teachers have families and personal lives of their own that they have to manage, and lunch is also their time for them to be free.
There is no justification for the FDR Middle School in Bristol, PA to have assigned seating, punishing students for wanting to spend time with their friends and teachers to follow up on their own personal lives.  It is a violation of students' freedom and a burden of teachers' time.  This rule must stop. If you agree, sign this petition, write, and call the school principal and District Superintendent.
