Stop Anti-Blackness On Linkedin
Stop Anti-Blackness On Linkedin
Why this petition matters

Hi Linkedin Family,
"Today (on September 7th 2022 ) I woke up to a rather sad news stating that my account has been restricted on LinkedIn with approximately 16,000 followers under very unclear circumstances"
I submitted an appeal as suggested only to receive a canned response of rejection from it's algorithm.
This generic response has been the major albatross and center of complaints raised by Black creative/Content Creators on LinkedIn, which further expresses growing concerns on Anti-Blackness on LinkedIn platform which ought to be inclusive. "
On the same day, one of our volunteer's Linkedin account was unjustly restricted without any warning or justification. Oluwatobiloba Popoola tried to appeal the restrictions but the appeal was automatically rejected by Linkedin.
Linkedin Customer Support sent him the same automated reply which I got when my account was permanently restricted.
''We've deemed the activity in your account is in violation of the LinkedIn User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. Your appeal has been denied and your account has been restricted permanently.
Please see our User Agreement and Professional Community Policies for more information.
Regards,
LinkedIn Customer Support .''
Linkedin has been targeting outspoken Black Creators and frustrating Black Businesses or organizations.

Many Black Creators have had their accounts restricted and their engagements substantially reduced on Linkedin and this must come to an end!
Please sign up this petition demanding that Linkedin ends Anti-Blackness and technological racism on Linkedin and restores my account immediately!
I also demand that Linkedin stops suppressing Black voices and provide better user experience for Black users.

It has been restored but the quest for justice and change continues.
About me:
I am the CEO for Black Mental Health Matters Inc, a non profit organization registered in Texas which provides free mental health resources to Linkedin community each Saturday as our show airs on Linkedin.
I am also the President of United States of Africa ,a non profit corporation in Texas with a mission to unify the African states and people of African descent.
Over the years I have built authentic audience on Linkedin as a Black Creator and harnessed the power of Linkedin to recruit volunteers to advance the organization mission.
I have also been creating educational content ,promoting the true history of Africa something which has enabled me build a strong supportive community on Linkedin.
Black Mental Health Matters show heavily relies on Linkedin for volunteers and with this restriction it wont be possible to continue airing on Linkedin.
The following are organization pages which are directly impacted by this unjustified restrictions.
