Arapahoe high school allows students to come and go from school whenever they want, and this is a huge safety concern. Nobody knows where our kids go during the day,  the school is supposed to keep them safe,  but they can't do it if students aren't there. If kids are constantly going in and out of the school, how can the school be sure that no one is slipping in unnoticed? The kids should be in school and the doors should not be swinging open all day, giving people a chance to come in and harm them.

In addition, the local shops experience a great deal of theft. King Soopers sees shoplifters everyday, and students can always be found behind other buildings, either getting high or drinking. Nobody at Arapahoe High School seems to care either.

As parents, it is our job to protect our kids and raise responsible people, but we need the school to provide safety and structure.

I urge you to consider the benefits of a closed campus. Let's keep our kids safe and in school. We need Arapahoe High School to stop having an "open campus" and start thinking about what is best for our kids.
