The Issue
Please consider signing this petition against Scenic Heights, a 938 unit apartment and condo high density area between Shillelagh road and Grassfield High School.
Grassfield Elementary school will have a level of service of 169% if City council votes for this.
Professional City of Chesapeake Planning staff recommend denial.
The developer is ignoring the Dominion Corridor Plan, for which the taxpayers of Chesapeake spent alot of money, on which it shows the best use of this area is mixed use.
The project will cost Chesapeake tax payers over $14 Million dollars!
The developer is also NOT contributing the required amount of acreage to the central park feature and taking density "credits" from adjoining landowners.
