During the 2020-2021 school year, all juniors were allowed to have "senior release", this rule should be implemented back into the current school year. The benefits of letting juniors leave would result in less people within the school, leading to a lesser possibility of Covid spreading. Another benefit of letting juniors leave would result in less traffic coming and leaving the school. Many kids during study hall at the start and end of the day just end up sitting on their phone and not doing work, so leaving could lead to them doing more efficient things with their time. Other schools like Fitch and Waterford have this idea implemented. There should be a minimum GPA requirement of 3.5 (weighted) because it shows that the kids leaving are on top of their work and can be deemed as responsible. This plan would have no drawbacks for kids that are responsible, and would only benefit them and the school.
