Help Stop the Essex County Library/Pointe-Aux-Roches from Closing!!! The Stoney Point Essex County Library has been around for many years, creating memories, with great activities and much more for all the locals. The Library was a huge part of my childhood and of many more, most likely most people that live here. This Library has always brought joy to everyone walking in, educating, reading to children and having craft activities was always something to look forward to with friends and family in this small town. This Library is way more than just resourceful, people need to read, not just need but love to!  Just because we are a small town DOES NOT MEAN WE DON’T DESERVE! I’m creating this petition because we deserve a voice, there has been too much taken from us in this town and it’s not fair to keep closing everything down… What’s going to be next? The Post Office? The Bank? The Mini-Mart? The Sportmans Club? This petition isn’t just for the closing of this library but for much more, this is just the beginning.  We need a voice, and there are not giving us one, so we need to make one! We need to show them that we need these resources and they are what we deserve, we need to show them that we care and that they need to give an explanation when it affects many people’s lives. We need to know what we can do to make the Library come back, but we need communication! You can’t have a community without communication.
