Reference 60696 Land to the west of Caverswall Lane, Meir, Stoke-on-Trent Has been granted permission by Stoke-on-Trent City Council for the Development of up to 350 dwellings and associated infrastructure to the fury of the people living there.

These fields are used daily by all members of the public to excersie, walk there pets, horse ride and just escape the city life. Many people have even moved to this location purely for the location of the field, its wonderful wildlife and views. All of this has been approved on the sly by Stoke Council despite reports of bat's present, rare red kyte birds and other wildlife around.

The council also belive that the building of these 350 private dwellings will not increase road traffic somehow which only shows that money talks. The Stoke-on-Trent council think they can just sell off land as if it belongs to them when it belongs to the people who are paying for it. This must be stopped, this will ruin one of very few natural locations available in Stoke-on-Trent and its people.  On top of this there has been no notification to the people for this approval, the people local to the field have received no updates or information about what was being planned until one day a building group appeared to dig large trenches informing public that they are just doing an environmental survey.
