Dangerous speeding is on the increase in our area - the section of Mile End Lane between Lowndes Lane and Dialstone Lane has no speed restrictions on it, it's a wide road, and some drivers are using it to speed past our homes and families. Twice in recent weeks there have been near misses, one with a van nearly colliding with a lamppost at Vine Grove, the other involving two cars at Akesmoor Drive. The other end of Mile End Lane is 20 mph and has speed bumps, Lowndes Lane is 20mph and has speed bumps, we need something to stop dangerous driving before an accident happens and someone is seriously hurt or killed.

Adding some speed restrictions or advice will reduce the risk for all those walking or driving down our road, those on their way to nearby schools, and reduce pollution too.
