Provision of Public Toilets in Dunblane
We are asking that Stirling Council, re-instate public toilets in Dunblane city centre as soon as possible. Dunblane is a thriving community with a number of community and tourist facilities including the Cathedral, riverside walks and the popular 'Andy Murray' gold postbox. Over the last few years the centre of Dunblane has become an increasingly popular and busy destination with a number of a new businesses being attracted to the city.
However, in March 2011 the city's two public toilets were closed. A 'comfort partnership scheme' with local businesses and facilities was established but only the Library, Burgh Chambers and Dunblane Hotel remain part of this scheme, but the facilities are only available during their opening hours. In the interests of local residents, visitors, travellers and the many workers active in the area throughout the day and night, we ask that public toilets with 24 hour availability, are re-instated for public health benefits.
