For so long I have been swooped by magpies, they fly at you and can sometimes cause injury’s. They attack you for no reason. They are vicious and cruel. But… for some reason the bird is on on our flag. Our famous flag, is meant to be iconic for South Australians. There are more swoops in NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT compared to SA meaning magpies are more common in other states. So why are they on our flag? If we want something iconic on our flag we might as well put a Fruchoc on it. Scrap the magpie!
