Early intervention is key to helping youth with mental health issues. Currently there is no inpatient treatment facility for children under 18 in South Australia. The women's and children's hospital is the only hospital that will accept youth presenting with mental illness, but no inpatient treatment is available. At best they May be admitted for a day or two for observation. Every day young people are dying from suicide and something needs to change. Please help me, my child and other families. One youth suicide is one too many.
