Starting the end of May, Down East Community Hospital plans on reducing much needed rehabilitation services.  Home health and Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies in 14 of our local schools will be cut leaving those populations without any services.  And, our already busy outpatient clinical staff will be reduced creating an even longer waiting list.  This would require patients in need to travel several hours, sometimes several times a week to receive services.  And, would force our local schools to be out of compliance with the Department of Education.  Please sign the petition demanding that DECH restore our staff, continue with Home Health services and continue providing services to our school.
