All Food City employees are working their absolute hardest through these rough times during the COVID-19 outbreak. They are risking not only their health, but their friends and family’s health to work for the KVAT corporation. Some of KVAT’s highest competitors (ex. Walmart, Target, Sams) are receiving large bonuses and even larger pay raises for all of the hard work they have been putting in during these hard times. 
   Many, if not most employees, are working a larger number of hours than usual to assure that the shelves are stocked, meat is cut and put out, and registers are filled with enough employees to attempt to manage the very large waves of crowds pouring in through the doors daily now. Associates are challenged to take lots of time away from their loved ones and spend most of their time at their place of work to try to satisfy the needs of the public. Every associate is trying their absolute hardest to be there for this global pandemic and they all deserve a lot more than they are receiving. 
   Each employee has been given a small “bonus” to be rewarded with, but this small bonus just simply is not enough as I have watched all of the work these younger and older employees have put in. Part time is to receive a $100 bonus while full time also only receives a $200 bonus. While it is great that these associates are getting some amount, I believe that they do deserve more than just that. With all of the taxes taken out of these bonuses, it simply just does not compare or amount to all of the hard work and effort I have witnessed these associates have done with a smile on their face. 
   These employees are blessed beyond measures to still be able to hold their jobs since it is considered “essential”, what if they live with others who are now struggling because they have been labeled “non essential”? They barely have any income coming into their household at this moment. 
   With that being said, I have decided to start a petition for the associates of KVAT corporations to receive a better compensation. They work day in and day out risking everything they’ve got, and I do believe that that’s worth way more than $100. 

**note: I do not mean to being any conflict into this topic, many have spoken upon this and I mean no harm in this petition. I’m curious to see who signs it, who agrees, and if anyone else recognizes all of the amazing work the staff has put into this pandemic. I genuinely believe that more should be given.**
