We urge the governor of Nevada to take action and not cut Biofeedback and Neurofeedback services. After the pandemic we are currently experiencing a mental health crisis with limited availability of mental health professionals and an increasing need of services.

If these services are eliminated due to The Governor's state budget (https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/81st2021/Budget/6951/Overview) some of the most vulnerable populations will be affected; such as children with disabilities and mental health conditions, veterans, people with disabilities, people with limited language abilities, unemployed individuals, people suffering from addictions, individuals and teens who are at suicide risk.

Neurofeedback and Biofeedback works collectively with other therapeutic services. Biofeedback and neurofeedback addresses the physiological symptoms related to different mental health disorders conditions such as ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Sleep Disorders, Mood disorders, Obsessive compulsive disorders, oppositional disorders, Addictions, and many other issues that can help alleviate discomforting symptoms.

Neurofeedback and Biofeedback use technology to enhance the functioning of the brain and is a holistic treatment option.

We are asking the Governor to revisit the budget and identify other areas to save money without having to cut mental health services in Nevada. Nevada is already ranked 47th out of 50 States in access to Mental Health services. This move will only keep us at the bottom.
