I am signing because Thames Water never bothered to come and investigate the complete stoppage of water supply to our home and that of our neighbours. They initially on the telephone confirmed to my husband that he was due to receive compensation of £150 for the 4 days without water. Months later Thames Water wrote to say he was not entitled to compensation because there had only been a fall in pressure and was offered a payment of £30 as "a gesture of goodwill". No evidence of how Thames Water came to this conclusion has been offered.

Our house, at 8 Fisher's Close, SW16 1JN was without water supply from 3 to 8 March 2018, as our neighbours who suffered likewise and spoke with us at the time can testify. I reported this to Thames Water repeatedly online during the outage, and by telephone on 25 April when my case was given the number 804258833897. I was told I would receive a call within 10 days, but no call came. I spoke to Thames Water on the phone on 21 May when I was assured that a note on my file had recorded that I would be paid £150.00, and was told that I would be paid by cheque, one of 63,000. that would be sent out by the end of May. The company should have a r recording of this call.. I have not received any cheque, only an offer of £30.00.

Because I'm appalled how you have treated your customers making out in the press how you would compensate them then going back on your word

I have not received any compensation and I also had to pay a fortune in plumbing bills due to air locks in my system as a result of having no water for 3 days.

I was a La.beth councillor at the time. Thames Water showed total incompetence in response to people"s needs at the time. We had to set up water distribution points at the time and make sure the most vulnerable had water as Thames Water failed to do this. We had many meetings with them and OFWAT. Thames Water originally agreed to pay flat rate figure of £150 to all affected without them having to pursue a claim.. but then reneged on that
My understanding is that many have still received nothing at all. I urge everyone to sign this petition.

We were without water for 3 days, (and had a 2 week old baby at home), contacted Thames water and still haven’t reviewed compensation.
