Save Oxygen through McDonald's Coffee Cups
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
McDonalds sells 2.5 million cups of coffee everyday.
One tree is able to generate approximately 608 coffee cups.
Thats 4111 trees worth.
Counting the sleeve used for the press out collector card, now we're over 8200 trees.
But do you NEED that sleeve? Don't get me wrong I love this initiative. But even if everyone collected stickers, a card would only be required every 7th cup so that's over 4000 trees wasted everyday.
Taking the amount of trees used to make coffee cup sleeves everyday, that would translate to oxygen for a town of 534 430 people for an entire YEAR. Do we need a sleeve included in every cup? Why not have them available upon request and save forests every day?
