I’m an oars woman and everybody should have a chance to row and this sounds a bit like the facilities available but someone it’s just not letting them use it

I believe councils should be encouraging people to take exercise, not locking them out.

Atrocious behaviour by Hounslow Council - like much else going on in UK institutions.

My dad was a previous captain of this great club, so grew up with rowing tales and frequent trips to the clubhouse to catch up with old friends when dad finished rowing.

My dad Fred Nappin was a past captain of Thames Tradesman, he was very proud to be given this title. The rowers have a right to use the club, and give a lot to the community . My dad would be turning in his grave if he had learnt of this

I was a member of Tradesmen 35 years ago - and the club tradition goes back way further than that. Hounslow need to show a little respect!

Councils should be doing all they can to support all forms of sporting clubs, rather than looking for ways to shut them down to make money by selling to developers.

I believed that local councils are there to support their communities, who pay their wages - this action seems totally at odds to this philosophy. Surely it’s not right to adopt such a draconian approach to a lovely community asset with so many years of history..
