Why this petition matters

Started by Amanda Tame

I live in a lovely little town in North Cornwall. I have an underlying health condition which affects my lungs and I also have a 9 month old baby. What I’d like to know is why have the location of the three cases (as of 9/3/20) of Coronavirus in Cornwall not been released to the public? You (Public Health Cornwall) are risking people’s lives by not releasing this information, there are vulnerable people in every community, don’t you think these people have the right to self isolate as a preventative measure, if they so choose? Are you waiting for the number of victims to reach a certain amount before you’ll officially say the location? It’s awful and I feel you will have blood on your hands if you do not provide the information to people that may then allow them to protect themselves. If people are aware it is in an area surely people will take more precautions thus lessening a local spread? This information needs to be released now so that the affected community/ies can be extra vigilant regarding elderly and vulnerable residents.
