I read an article in the NY Times about Dr. Kane and totally understand what she was trying to accomplish.

I'm signing because I am sick of the right wing, racist republiKKKans lying that Critical Race Theory is taught in K-12 schools and violently attacking educators and school board members.

I support Ms. Kane and her inclusion of Black Lives Matter (and race discussion in general) in her school district. I absolutely back what she's continued to do & I'm so sorry she's had to go through the nonsense she's faced because of ignorant, and quite frankly stupid, racist people like Gordana Schifanelli.

I am in Baltimore County and just read about the challenges Dr. Kane has been facing in Queen Anne's County. I can't believe there are people calling a conversation with students about racism "political." Ridiculous. It is an important and necessary conversation to have - all schools, businesses and families should be opening up the lines of communication and education about racism so we can recognize and acknowledge it to eliminate it.

Dr. Kane is an educator. All decent educators advocate for their students. BLM is a form of advocacy. Dr. Kane was supporting and advocation for the students in her community by offering an outlet for BLM in her email. I stand with Dr. Kane.
