This is to propose that January 15th be declared Black Shirt Day in school boards across Ontario to increase awareness for the need to support anti-racism in schools for children and youth. Inspired by the Anti-Racism Coalition in Vancouver, BC.

Implementation of the following have already occurred:

*Pink Shirt Day to support anti-bullying in schools.

*Orange Shirt Day to honour Indigenous victims of the Canadian Indian Residential School Systems.

School boards have not yet implemented Black Shirt Day to support the change in narrative for anti-racism and civil rights in Ontario. This small simple step can be life-changing for our children and youth for generations to come. Be a part of this new narrative, a change in the way we treat people. Period.
