Getting affordable, high quality, public, not-for-profit early learning & childcare in Ontario will be a step in the right direction to help recovering from this pandemic. It also increases women's participation in the workforce, and gives children a head start in life.

This is something that pays for itself, and boosts Ontario's economy. For every $1 you invest in childcare, our economy gets back $6 later on. Studies also show children that have attended childcare are smarter, and enjoy learning more than children who don't.

Creating spaces will not only mean lowered fees, but also more ECE jobs are made available. By getting a deal we will also be supporting female dominated careers too.

Ottawa is offering a $10.2 billion childcare agreement, and Ontario needs to sign on. We are now the ONLY province left in Canada that has yet to sign on, as New Brunswick is also slated to sign an agreement very shortly.
