Society needs fundraisers that help non-profits support issues that Governments neglect.

I've been a fundraiser for over 20 years. I believe in the principles of openness, accountability and transparency and I don't appreciate Grade suggesting that my professional behaviour is otherwise.

A man with a lack of understanding of, and contempt for people working in, a sector he is there to lead.

Personal opinion and hostility can't play a part in fundraising regulation. It's damaging the third sector and it will be the vulnerable people that rely on charities that lose out! #proudtobeafundraiser

A regulator should engage with his / her constituency. Like policing, regulation should be done with consent to be fully effective. Lord Grade has not shown himself capable of having the right conversations and contributing effectively in this important role, at a very important time for self-regulation.

I welcome robust critic but we need an impartial regulator, not a judgemental one, someone who empathises and is not derogatory or misleading.

We need a fair, impartial, rational person in post. Lord Grade makes biased, derogatory and untrue remarks
