Change of Sanctioning from IHRA to ANDRA at Sydney Dragway

This change has effected every racer racing on the East coast and we are seeking answers on how the change would benifit the Racers and the sport of Drag racing.

To : Sydney Dragway

1. Please outline reasons and benefits for the track, members and racers to terminate the remaining 2-year contract with IHRA?

2. If the reasons are primarily financial; can the Sydney Dragway board explain the cost savings that justified this decision? In your response, please provide a cost comparison between both sanctioning bodies ANDRA and IHRA.

3. We request clear comparisons also on insurance coverage that each sanctioning body provides.

4. Clarity is requested on any cost increases or savings to racers, crew members and spectators; from Street-meeting to National meeting level under new Sanctioning body.

5. Will Sydney Dragway accommodate dual sanctioning, fixed price hire costs and make dates available to promoters wishing to run events under IHRA sanctioning?

6. Will Sydney Dragway allow interstate racers holding IHRA credentials to race at no extra cost to them when attending race meetings in Sydney? (Note: we have also requested ANDRA to comment on above).

1. Will ANDRA consider a no-cost switch over of racer credentials from IHRA to ANDRA?

2. Will the sanctioning body allow racers from other states holding IHRA credentials to race at no extra cost to them at ANDRA sanctioned race tracks?

3. Will Victorian racers be permitted to switch over to ANDRA at no extra cost to them?

4. If answer is No to question 1 and 2, Clarification on Event Licences for IHRA licence holders; will they retain the ability to race at ANDRA tracks at the current flat rate of $50 per event including test days prior?

5. Does the ANDRA Public liability insurance policy cover Sydney Dragway 24hrs per day 365 days per year?

6. Will ANDRA continue to liaise with racers to make amendments to existing rule structures to accommodate the new emerging class of racers?

7. Will ANDRA acknowledge and confirm these new categories of racing and will PRO MOD and PRO RADIAL be able to race in group 1?
