Raina W started this petition to Stephanie Winsworth and

Due to COVID-19 , Eighth & Grand took action and closed all amenities (see below) on 3/16/20 until further notice. I'm glad that Greystar took proper action to avoid the spread of the virus.

  • Fitness Center
  • Pool
  • Hot Tub
  • Business Center
  • BBQ Grills
  • Sky Lounge
  • 2nd Floor Common Area
  • Pet Wash

However, a large majority of residents choose to live here purely for the services provided and amenities. We pay accordingly for these services and amenities. The issue is we are still expected to pay our rent (in full) with no access to the above services or amenities. This has created a financial burden.

Many are unemployed and rental prices are decreasing rapidly:

"By one estimate, the coronavirus pandemic has already claimed 1.3 million jobs in L.A. County. Only 45% of local residents are still employed, compared with 61% in mid-March." - LA Times

"Between the first week of February and today, rental prices in LA fell from $2.51 per square foot to $2.49 per square foot, on average. That amounts to a roughly $15 price reduction for a 750-square-foot one-bedroom apartment."-CoStar

I'm kindly asking for Greystar to consider offering an amenity concession to all residents (equal amount monthly) for March, April and for the duration of the amenity closures.

Please keep in mind that residents currently have the right to pay back rent 12 months from now under HCIDLA. Offering a concession until all amenities are open will make residents feel more inclined to pay their rent when due. Even Though, it may be a financial burden.

Eighth & Grand is our home and I hope you will do what's right to support your community and residents. Please prove to us that we are all in this together.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
