Re-list House Party the way the developer wants, not how they are dictated it should be

We all know the recent debacle on Steam surrounding the game House Party, a vocal minority are in the process of trying to ruin the game due to their own narrow minded, old fashioned, anti-modern belief's.
This petition is to bring forth the right change, which is to question why Steam are so poorly equipped to handle a game like House Party, yet games of a violent nature are somehow completely OK.
Steam does not have the right to dictate and decide for everyone what their morals should be. Surely if this debacle stands Steam should also be forcing developers of all games of a violent nature to add gore / censorship filters as well?
I put forth that it is Steam who should be changing their system to handle games like House Party, and any form of adult themed (over 18 / 21 depending on your country) games in the form of adding a walled off "Over 18 / 21" section to Steam that is tied to a users date of birth entered at registration and for new and existing Steam accounts with a "opt in" and "opt out" check box accessible from the user account options.
Surely this keeps everyone happy, developers are free to create games as they envision and those who do not like games containing violence, sex, drugs, or any other such adult themed nature are free to just tick a box and never see such games.
