Petitioning State Senator Leland Yee and 2 others

Pass Senate Bill 738 to end the criminalization of commercially sexually exploited children in California!

Currently in California, commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC), when discovered by police, are arrested, taken to delinquency court and then juvenile hall.  SB 738 aims to change the system by placing these children under jurisdiction of the dependency court, therefore, treating them as victims rather than criminals. SB 738 also mandates culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care to CSEC victims in order to help them rebuild their lives.
