CNYMRA understands there is a major effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our members receive many physical and mental health benefits from riding motocross and we feel they should be allowed to continue. The business of running motocross tracks has been deemed non-essential, however, riding motocross is an individual outdoor activity of the type that has been encouraged by government officials, including the Governor of New York.  Every rider wears helmet, goggles, gloves and other protective wear while riding on the track. Riders are not within close proximity to each other except on a starting line where they can be required to maintain safe social distance from each other.

Steps we are willing to take include but are not limited to; all bleacher areas can be closed and the events would not be open to spectators from the general public, photographers or media members (reduces attendance by 50%). Attendees can be required to wear a face mask while not riding and everyone would be required to park a minimum safe social distance apart in the pit area. Staff can be provided with PPE (face masks, gloves disinfectant wipes, etc) and hand wash stations can be added throughout the facility as well as an increase schedule of cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms. Finally, any food service would be takeout only.
