Under the New Jersey Family Building Act, infertility treatments are covered, to a point. It is mandated for insurance companies to cover certain aspects of infertility treatments but the law has its limitations. Health insurance provided through businesses are required to cover infertility treatments, but if the business has less than 50 employees, they do not have to cover In-Vitro Fertilization. All insurances are required to cover Artificial Insemination, and it states 'unlimited treatments', however your insurance company will cut you off after 4 rounds.

This petition is calling for expansion of the NJ Family Building Act, for truly unlimited treatment and coverage of any and all types of treatment. It is completely unfair, and frankly disappointing, that this law comes with red lines.

Couples across our state want to expand their family. Let us to the fullest extent! Don't deprive us of our dreams, simply because it benefits businesses. Who we work for should be irrelevant to our future family!
