Michigan laws require out of state beer sellers to ship only to the premises of a licensed wholesaler or distributor in MI, and cannot ship directly to a consumer. This leads to limited selection of goods that can be purchased by residents of the state, as the beer must be packaged and shipped to such location by the brewer/manufacturer.  Many microbrewery options do not have the facilities and staff to support doing so and are thus prevented from selling their products to MI citizens.

This regulation should be removed and allow the shipping of beer, wine, and spirits to any resident over the federal legal drinking age.
