HJR-6 is an amendment to the Indiana state constitution that will define marriage between one man and one woman.
This measure will not be able to be overturned by future lawmakers and will forever impact the ability of homosexuals in the state to marry. This measure also impacts protections previously given to common law relationships through domestic partnership, etc.
It is unthinkable that a state would attempt to include hate and discrimination as an amendment to their constitution, an amendment that would strip previously given rights, reduce diversity in the work place, lower qualified competition for jobs for businesses within the state and encourage the continuation of bigotry, violence, and discrimination against homosexuals and strip rights of non-traditional families.
