Health care pay

Health care pay
I have been a Cna for over 20 yrs + and have slowly been noticing a decrease in employees and more staffing issues. I feel as CNAs are not paid as they should be. We get paid $11-$15hrly in the state of Florida… taking care of sick and dying people. Doing the back bone of work at nursing homes. We are the ones who take care; day to day living for these residents. While Walmart greeters and Baristas start out at a solid $15hrly. CNAs deserve a pay raise. We love every single one of our patients… bathing them, cleaning them, walking them to the dining room, setting their food up while they’re bed bound, feeding them when their limbs fail them… we take their vitals, we talk to them, care for them, assure them that they’re ok.. knowing some of them aren’t… As a long time running CNA, I am petitioning that we raise the wage for CNAs. We are having staffing issues everywhere! Leaving some of these patients and residents with lesser care than they deserve. Please. Help sign our petition. Help us make a change for CNAs.
