Dalton Coody started this petition to state of arkansas and

I like many others in this time of a national emergency, find it imperative to remain closed to businesses, remain social distancing, keep the parks closed to out of state travelers, and camping, also for a leader of the CDC to implement stricter guidelines for the State of Arkansas due to Gov. Asa Hutchinson not taking the matter of well-being, and human safety as a top priority over the economy. We all know we have to work to live, work to keep what we own, and work to eat, but I implore every Arkansan to look at the rate of new Novel Coronavirus cases, and deaths, and put that down with what we’ve already closed down. It’s just not enough. Gov. Hutchison has been adamant about not closing our borders to out of state traffic, keeping businesses running, and to keep his self image up above others health and safety. I ask you today to sign this petition so that the great State of Arkansas, and their leaders can see there is a real concern over opening the state back up to what they’ve been proposing. Look at the statistics in other states after just one day of re-opening, and place that kind of danger here, and we just don’t have the necessities to take on such a haunting task. I’m for individuals right of freedom, but I also support the right to not make a blanket remark to open a state that just isn’t ready. Social distancing just isn’t enough, harsher more efficient ways of keeping the communities safe is what it is going to take, and if it means keeping the state closed, businesses not having inside seating, or parks, and other businesses to stay down until the curve of the coronavirus cases is down then that’s what needs to happen. We as humans have a natural instinct of following what authorities tell us, without looking at the facts ourselves, we must not fall for that again because if we do many many more lives will be affected by this opening up of the state again. Again I implore each and every Arkansan old and young to look at the statistics, the hard statistics not the ones that aren’t factual as they’ve not happened yet, but the ones that have been written down on paper, and also keep your mind open for the fact that not every case of COVID-19 has been reported as to keep us as a state under the false pretense of “we’re not that bad”. Trust me we are, Ive spoken to numerous individuals in all walks of the medical field, and even epidemiologist about what Arkansas’ future holds if we re-open, and they all say it’s way too early to tell, and too early to take a chance. That we DO NOT have enough resources or supplies for another wave of cases, and since we do not have a vaccine on hand it’s too dangerous to attempt this. It’s like playing Russian Roulette with peoples lives. Thank you for reading this, and ask you to please consider signing this so that everyone in the state can have a say on keeping our citizens safe, and our elected officials in check. Also I would like for our state to help individual businesses, and at home workers by helping them keep their companies, and businesses afloat. This is not a game if we wait it out and hope we still have a job, because no one can do that in this economy. We want the full backing of the state of Arkansas, the United States Government, and any and all companies that help smaller business stay afloat. Too many people have lost their homes, businesses, cars, even their own families over a virus that’s not our fault. We didn’t ask for this, but what we do ask for is our local, state, and federal government to do what’s right by us and stand next to us in solidarity to keep the banks at bay, and collectors at bay.  Thank you
